i am fifteen years old, and i have done more drugs than the average person will ever do in their whole life. you name it, i've done it: heroin, cocaine, pot, ecstacy, amphetamines, speed, LSD, inhalants...you get the idea. i'm addicted to vicodin. i'm addicted to nicotine. i'm pretty damn close to being an alcoholic. i've had sex more times than i can count with multiple partners. all i want is to get %#@&#! up.
i don't care about my future, i don't care that i'm hurting my parents. i have plenty of friends; I'm very popular in school, and I know that if i applied myself i could get very good grades, but none of that is as important as the drugs. just needed to get all that out somehow. |

Hi myam (hope it's ok that I shortened your name) and welcome to the forums! It sounds like the drugs and alcohol are loosing their ability to work anymore. I want you to know that you can stop, even if you don't believe that. A close friend of mine is 23 and he's been sober for 7 years. Another friend is 19 and sober for 5 years. I'm 27 and coming up on 9 months. You don't have to be as old as me before you stop, you can stop right now, and never ever take another drink or a drug. You've come to the right place, and congrats on seeing that you have a problem. Feel free to PM me anytime, ok?

Myamphetamine…
Good to see you here. Take a look through the posts here, at the paths others have walked. It seems that we are not that unique, Each of us have different stories to be sure, but their seems to be a common thread running through all of them. We drank and drugged because we liked the effect it produced. It’s just that simple. We really liked the buzz. But here is the catch. Ain’t there always. We went to that well a bit too often, and over time, what was once a pleasure became a necessity. We had to keep drinking and/or using just to preserve our sanity. Toward the end of our inexorable trip to the bottom, we couldn’t imagine life with it and we couldn’t imagine life without it. Some people call that the jumping off point. I don’t buy for a moment that you don’t care about your future. We don’t find ourselves in places like this by not caring. You are here because you feel that sense of impending doom that we all felt. But like I said, we can’t imagine life without a good buzz on. You are looking for something to change in your life. You may not know what you want to change, but the fun and games of active using is growing thin for you. That’s a good thing. Stick around, you might learn a few things about yourself that you didn’t know before. Your friend on the road to the good stuff, Richard |

Hello and welcome to PC.
First, I want to say thanks for being so open and coming here to let things out. It helps. I'm with Richard, I just can't believe that you don't care about your future. Your future could be so bright but only you can make that happen. You're still young and as long as you have breath in you, you have a chance at making it in this life. DON'T, please, don't, let drugs and booze be the end of you and take you to places you never could have dreamed of and I don't mean that in a good way. I'm only 19 years old and I'm a chronic relapser. Everytime something gets too tough for me to handle, I run to drugs. Everytime I want to feel good, I run to drugs. Hell, everytime I want to feel peace I run to drugs. But the thing is, it's false peace. There's no real peace in the drug world. Look around you... It's chaos every way you turn. Having to hide things, lie, hurt yourself along with others who care while you're on drugs. True peace comes from within YOU... For some reason, I get this feeling you don't have a whole lot of love for yourself. I know for me it's that way. Please, learn to love you. It'll make getting off the drugs and booze so much easier. If you need me, I'm just a PM away. Life is hard, it's hard as hell. But life can good despite the hard times that come along with life. Our goal as addicts is to try finding the good in life and run with it instead of focusing on the bad and using to escape it. Hope it all works out for you.
