Last year around this time I wasn't using my drug of choice, or drinking. But I was doing a lot of coke.
Right now I am drinking my second monster because the lack of energy is draining. I got a bottle of wine last night and eventually cried myself to sleep. I don't KNOW anyone I can get drugs from which is good that I'm not looking but still. The desire for it is deafening.

I made it through Christmas and New Year sober. And it was okay! I'm heading for six months sober now. (On my birthday). Now I need to stop eating sugary things and start losing weight and I'll really be a new me!

I'm so proud of everybody here! Whether you're an hour, day, week or month sober, that is a big deal! Whatever you're feeling will pass. Life will get better. That has been my experience. I don't know any of you personally, but I love you all!

9 days! The most that I've had..... But if you go to just inner circle behaviors its been a day. But still that's great! Oh and 25 days free if porn!

I have been able to avoid rehabs since 1988, but not so much psych wards. I stayed sober throughout the 90s, except for an occasional beer. I got married in 01, and we began smoking pot together in 04 and continued to 2010, when we quit and entered a twelve step program together. I coming up on two years now (in a few months) I attend meetings regurally and I have a sponsor. I feel good today. I met with my psychiatrist a couple of days ago, and he seems to feel I'm stable. He seems more concerned with my soda consumption than any other symptom.

Day 4 no alcohol. I would have had a drink tonight if the bottle shop was open. Guess some would say that's is a good thing.
