I failed on day 5. Something sad happened and I turned to a drink. Will start again tomorrow.

ThingWithFeathers, you did very well to go four days. It is a good start and no one can take it away from you! You can begin another good run.
Thanks for this!

Never had alcohol, smoking or drug addiction(no judgement here).I'm more internet addicted...have cut way back to few hrs/day-and trying only to use medical or support sites like this one. Glad this forum is here
Thanks for this!

7 months came and went and I didn't even notice! Life without alcohol is good.

Smoking weed. Also I moved and don't have contacts now. That helps. I've been purposefully trying not to find them here.
Thanks for this!

The thought of losing my husband was all I needed! I've not had any desire to drink (except maybe that first week or two) since stopping.

I'm still sober after 7 months free from my prescription pill addictions. It's been a long, hard road out of hell thats for sure. I've experienced almost every emotion that a person can feel & it's taken a lot of serious introspection. I am still dealing with my severe panic disorder (why I used Xanax to begin with) & it's been very difficult. I am constantly talking myself out of anxiety, well attempting to. This is going to be the hardest thing to deal with, as far as recovery is concerned.
