I now have another motivator to stay sober. When I checked myself into hospital at Christmas because my withdrawl was so bad the ER doctors said they would have to notify the ministry of transportation. I just got my notice of medical suspension today since they consider alcoholism a disease that makes you unfit to operate a motor vehicle. Now I'm going to have to go through all sorts of paper work and probably ongoing blood screens in order to get my licence back. Good thing I live in a place with ok public transportation & thank God for on-line grocery shopping. I am so annoyed with myself for getting myself into this position.

Let it be a reminder as to why you want to stay sober. Judges and police don't suspend our liscenses cuz they're bored....just do the footwork and jump through the hoops to prove you're sober, and you'll get back. =)
