This is kind of a touchy subject because of the content. For years I have been on narcotic medications at a local pain management clinic. They tried everything before resorting to narcotics. Well, now my tolerance level is so high that all they do is keep me out of withdrawl.
Even though I don't have an addiction problem, I have a major physical dependency problem. A couple months ago, I fell down several steps landing on my hip on concrete. The pain was unGodly. In the ambulance they tried nasal fentynal. Nothing. At the ER they finally gave me a cc of injectable hydromorphone which did nothing either. Pretty scary. I found a drug, Ibogaine that is capable of detoxing and resetting narcotic receptors within 36 hours with no pain. unfortunately, it is illegal in the USA. There are clinics in Mexico, where it is legal, and i plan to go as soon as I can get a passport. I wondered if anyone else has ever had any experience with the drug or known someone else who has. Apparently, during the first six hours after ingesting the drug, the patient has very vivid visual, tactile and auditory hallucinations. It has been described as intensive, forced psychotherapy with no ability to lie or cover up things you don't want to face. Basically, its like seeing a movie of your life and finding out where you went wrong if you have an addiction, or hopefully in my case, the stressors that cause my migraines. Since people may be intimidated by the fact that the drug is illegal here, its ok to PM me if you know something. I've got my mind set, did my homework and found the best, safest clinic, but personal experiences would help as well. Thanks, sam2 |

Ibogaine is a detox/addiction INTERRUPTOR, and will reset your brain to pre-use state *for a while*. It does not take away the pain. Some opiate addicts experience cravings after treatment, so it's not 100% effective. The addict still has the burden of working on their recovery in order to remain clean.
Since you don't have psychological dependence (lucky you!), you are better off working with a pain management specialist. For what it's worth, I took ibogaine for alcohol addiction in 2005 and stayed sober and depression free for a few years. I relapsed twice in 2010 and 2012 when I stopped taking psych meds (I didn't know I had a mental illness...- a story for another day ![]() Good luck to you |

Please make thourough research on this and please make sure the clinic is safe and that they know what they are doing. I had a friend in England who ordered ibogaine off the internet and unfortunately I'm so sorry to say but he died hours after taking it. He didn't take too much of it. Perhaps it was from a dodgy website; I don't know, it could have been mixed or something, I really don't know. I'm just just saying be very careful please.

Psychedelics also have the effect of making you neuroplastic again, something opiates take away. Ibogaine is not the only psychedelic that can be used for this purpose, psilocybin, dmt, lsd, mescaline, etc would be comparable to ibogaine. Being neuroplastic allows you to make new connections over the old ones that hardwire you to relapse that have become so strong during opiate usage.
