Been rough lately. Still sober, but having some massive cravings, due to triggers... currently Sleep deprived, ptsd related, but can't stand the thought of going home, and can only think a couple shots will put me right to sleep. So on the bus down the the main library... maybe walk around downtown, find somewhere to eat, and then see how I feel...

Hang in there chaos. You can do it. Sleep deprivation sucks, but alcohol isn't the answer.

Had a really intense drinking dream last night, on how I was going to drink, and beat the urine screen at rehab. Very realistic. It took me a few minutes once I woke up to realize that it was only a dream.

Day 4 off the devil. I can think better although not like I used to. This has been a secret of mine for a while. I always relapsed on day 2 or 3 due to severe insomnia and sadness so many times. No cravings no pain throughout my body. I'm not a prisoner to the devil anymore! I actually am enjoying TV music and talking to people.

Had to have major surgery. There are no substitute pain meds for this. I'm following doctor's orders and spouse supervises my pills. Just checking in because it's smart to tell on the disease before it talks to you.

Notz, Sorry that you needed surgery and pain pills. Smart decision to give them to your spouse to handle. Hope you recover quickly.

Last night was a challenge. I was very wound up. I felt that a drink would help, but I chose a cigarette instead. I'm not a fan of this solution. I've been smoke free all year. But it's better than the alternative. I called my sponsor, too. Should have been my first action.

How long have you not been drinking? I almost had 2 months but then drank a week and half ago...years ago..(3)..I had 8 years sober and stupidly got drunk.

Sober since 7-18-2015

Missy, I'm still a drunk and fully capable of getting stupidly drunk. I work the program pretty steadily. That's really my only hope. All that matters is being sober today. So you goofed. You'll learn something and pick a new date.

I love the versed, if that's what they give you when they strap you into the ambulance. The whole trip feels wonderful.

So, how was it, do you feel better with the shot? I still intend to get one but I have to go with my friend or they won't let me have one.

i do feel better... having some pain where the shot went in on both sides, but the area where the pain was that the shots were for is a ton better!
