Do you have a Central AA office in your area where you could check out the Hazelden guides/workbooks? They're also available online...along with extensive meditation & reading materials. I would never imply any of the forementioned are stand alone sources; they are, however, in my opinion, valuable assets used at meetings in & around my city. The metro area has approximately 150,000 people & Central AA's website lists over 300 meetings per week. We're very fortunate.

If you wish, we could agree completely right there and just leave it at that. My statement was really coming more from an overall perspective along the line of O.A. using the Big Book and N.A. having only its own "12&12", as such, at least the last I knew, and there being no other book anywhere in the world that could ever possibly replace, supersede or even just merely duplicate the message and sharing found exclusively within our "anonymous volume setting forth the problem as we see it...our combined experience and knowledge...[as] a useful program for anyone concerned with a drinking problem." (page 19)

Agreed! I've been very touchy & anxious lately due to a severe lack of sleep (you'll note that this is being written at 2:45 AM EST). I can get to sleep, but am waking up in the wee hours & am unable to get back to sleep. I hope this isn't the beginning of another episode, but I shouldn't take it out on you by being so contentious.

There...I hope you'll accept my direct amends.

All is well, and it is great to be able to relax a bit on my own end...and I thank you and others for being as agreeable as we might all hope to be!
