Ok, í used heroin for about 2 years. Then I only used to avoid any discomfort. I decided enough!
I did the Methadone thing for about a year and reduced it towards the end. However, my body aches and cravings never came to an end to this day. Then my body relief so I started taking vicoden, with no avail. Same f**** s****. Then I started taking low doses of oxicodone and stopped gradually. I found myself without any opioids.
I started taking clonidine but yet still felt uncomfortable.
Please, somebody tell what I need to take to make these body aches go away?

I started taking Lexapro along with Wellbutrin in hopes that it will be useful.
Any suggestions are welcomed and thank you for taking the time read this.
May you be blessed.

Sincerely,
Michael.

I was taking 150mg of Morphine and 40mg of Oxycodien a day for 8 years because of damage nerves in my back. I was getting it through the Pain Clinic at the VA. Well they drop all my pain medication after Prince died. This was 6 months ago. I tried medical marijuana and it help out the holly hell I was going through. I take Canabutter 3 times a day in my Coffee around 575mg a day. 30mg will get you high. I also smoke the best Kush in the world. I'm still taking it for my pain.

Post acute withdrawal lasts, usually, 2 years after all substances are stopped. That doesn't include the lexapro or wellbutrin, just the opioids.

The symptoms of it get better over time, and some symptoms change over time. But every time another addictive substance is introduced into the body, it can mess with the timeline of the PAWS.

PAWS is different than withdrawal. Acute withdrawal is the shakes and headaches and psychosis and body aches thatf happen from day 1 to day 14. Post acute withdrawal happens from day 14 to up to 2 yrs clean.

He uses the powder form.

I want to say replacing one substance with another, in my experience, never works. It may help short term, yes. But in the long run, I have always ended up right back where I started.

For me, cannabis is just as detrimental as alcohol or opiates or benzos. I'm not going to get into that argument. I'm not going to get into the kratom argument either, but kratom works in the body like opiates and also has a withrawal, which I have seen with my own eyes.

My advice is to just stick with it, get thru the uncomfortable part without any extra help (the wellbutrin and lexapro are great) and then do what you can to stay off off the substances every day. Talk to your doctor, let them know what is going on. They may be able to do something to help with the uncomfortable symptoms, that will make it manageable. Throwing more substances into your body is only going to extend the withdrawal and make it worse later.

Methadone withdrawals are 100x worse than pills or heroin.. Kratom is a plant from indonesia. You have to make sure you're getting pure kratom and nothing added in. Watch for for stuff called "extracts". You just want plain kratom

It is not a strong feeling but yes it mimicks opiates.

You are not lying. On my third day, from not having any methadone, I went for my monthly appointment to get another script, and OMG!
I couldn't sit still and kept punching my thighs. When I couldn't wait any longer I got up to run. To escape and it wasn't because I wanted to score smack, it's that I didn't know that 3 days off methadone, would do that. Luckily, the gate to the psychiatric clinic was locked-due to the inpatients.
In tears I screamed until a nursing staff asks me what's wrong. I told her, I'm suffering from abstinence syndrome.
If that's the right way to say it.
Far worse than H!
