Went to my "tummy" doc today. Blood pressure is up... I have to quit drinking and smoking among other things. Not sure just how addicted to alcohol I am since I don't drink for weeks at a time with no withdrawl symptons, but when I want it, nothing else will suffice. I expect it to be a challenge. And don't even get me started on the cigs. I'd almost rather lay down and die then quit. Tdoc says he can give me hypnosis therapy to help with that. So anyway, here I go.

Pat, the good news is that I don't have anymore stomach problems since I started taking nexium. I guess I forgot to mention that there was a good and bad outcome of this appointment. And I think that you're absolutely right about the binge drinking. That seems to be my pattern. Anyway, thank you for your support. It means a lot to me.

I agree with Pat...you have a lot on your plate. But I know you can do it. We will help you here if we can.

Good luck! One day at a time, no guilt, and move on!

Well, doc says to quit drinking...

Well, day one down and no drinking. No withdrawl symptons either, but then I wasn't really expecting them. Just a craving. Guess I can handle that. This seems different that when I quit the drugs.
