I feel so so bad if I don't exercise... I feel like I have failed myself in some way. I am seriously underweight and have struggled with anorexia for over 3 years. I can see I'm getting back into my old habits but I can't seem to stop! I feel guilty eating and not exercising but also guilty when I don't eat and do exercise... I feel so confused inside and don't know what to do...

Do you have a therapist? If not you may want to think about going into therapy for a while to get yourself back on track.

I understand where you're coming from, I feel exactly the same way. I think a therapist might be able to help you understand why you feel so guilty...It couldn't hurt, right?

What helped me was going to 12-step program for "Anorexia". Maybe there is one in your city. Sometimes just any 12-step program can help. You turn it over and miracle happens, one day at a time. One meal at a time. Be gentle with yourself.

Best to you.
Thanks for this!

Wow, they didn't have 12 step programs for anorexia when I was dealing with it in 1995....the only thing that was available in the Los Angeles area (a large area) was OE Anon or the one for Emotions anon.....nothing that really helped with anorexia at all
