God you lot are awful

My score:

You Are 20% Sociopath

You're empathetic, loyal, and introspective.
In other words, there's no way you're a sociopath... but you can spot one pretty easily!

33% Impulsive
You're a pretty stable and serious person. You don't take things lightly.
This doesn't mean you can't have fun - you just have fun responsibly.
You definitely have a spontaneous side, but you only let loose when it's appropriate.
Consider being a little more impulsive. It feels freeing to completely let go.

34% (?) Sociopath

"From time to time, you may be a bit troubled and a bit too charming for your own good.
It's likely that you're not a sociopath... just quite smart and a bit out of the mainstream!"

92% sociopath.

I don't think the test is comprehensive enough though to peg me into a box. These days being a psychopath or being sleaved with tattoes or having a violent felony record is in vogue: chicks find it hot! If I would have known that I would have carried my psyche file and presentence investigation reports everywhere I went, instead of allowing my book-worm looks to rest on its laurals and leave the impression I am a different sort of creature. These days, it would seem that there are times when it is safe to take off the mask.

These tests are extremely inaccurate, and should be avoided if you're trying to figure yourself out. They are biased based on your current emotions and outlook on life, along with the bias the writer of the test has not to mention the fact that the personality disorder field as a whole is all theory. Need I say more?

In deed. Current mood. Theory.

I cannot afford therapy, as an outpatient; and even if I had all the money in the world, I would never be completely honest with a therapist about everything I have ever done, thought about, or currently think about, due to an understanding of the exceptions to confidentiality requirements. That leaves me trying to figure it out myself, as you put it. That has caused me to read Hare's list, and other books like The Mask Of Sanity, Snakes In Suits, and the bare bone DSM categories and symptoms. What I would really like to do is just start from the beginning, psychology 101 and work my way up. Anyone know of any FREE online, college-grade text books?

I know I am in the ASPD category, and which one specifically, because two times in the last 20 years I have been told there were some certain characteristics reflected that I am now seeing in published studies showing correlations among a certain subset of ASPD. Yet comorbidity makes nothing so simple. I just wish I had free online text books to go through so I could make heads or tales of the other issues.

I know right? When I come on here and see that there's new posts in this forum I get all crestfallen because it's just someone else posting on this thread as opposed to anything genuine.
Thanks for this!

This test is actually reverse psychology I found out. The lower the score you get the higher the odds are that you are psychopathic.

12% Sociopathic

You're empathetic, loyal, and introspective.
In other words, there's no way you're a sociopath... but you can spot one pretty easily!

(Same as Galetre)

19% Impulsive

You're mature, thoughtful, and very disciplined.
Sometimes you do forget to have fun. And people tend to think you're too serious.
So lighten up a little! A spontaneous weekend won't ruin your life plans.
Being impulsive can lead to amazing new discoveries or insights.

Is this a nice way of saying, "boring and neurotic"? LOL
