The thing that happens with me - regarding the thoughts and flinching - is that once I thought of it, it stays with me. Somethings clicks in my brain and I have to ward off the thoughts of (in this case) injury. I am not prone to self injury or anything, just the thoughts get to me.

Thanks Pat. You know what? Maybe it's just worse when I'm tired, because I feel good today.

((((((((((((((((((Cms)))))))))))))))))

I have OCD and I know how bad it is when these ugly thoughts play over and over again in our brains to the point of exhaustion. Please know that your not alone.
One thing that I have been working on with my T and I have talked about this before is "Teflon" thoughts. When your having these unwanted and intrusive thoughts, notice the thought for what it is. A thought. Dont judge it. Know that it is just a thought and let it slide out of your mind, like teflon. This take much, much practice. I am still working on it. I also will do the 5-5-5 mind trick. This works sometimes. When I am having unwanted or intrusive thoughts I will look around me and name 5 things I can see, 5 things I can hear and 5 things I can touch. I repeat this excersize as much as needed. Sounds dumb but it works. I hope your feeling some relief soon. Take care.
