Hi

Ok, I chose a smiley face for my subject icon just because I'm a nice, friendly guy and I want to stay positive just as long as I'm not "positive" for some kind of disease :-).

Well, I have been drinking gin and soda this evening and I am so dizzy right now that I told my room mate to call 911 if anything happens to me.

My blood tests all came back normal today. These blood tests were done by a very prominent doctor in my area who is the "F. Lee Baily" of doctors around here. Someone answer me this: why is it that those of us who suffer from anxiety/panic disorders have blood tests done swearing that we are going to die any second but somehow the tests always come back negative?. I mean, this doctor tested me for so many things it was unreal and they drew GOBS of blood from me at the lab. I looked up the tests on the internet and they cover everything from ANY type of cancer...to heart/liver disease to parasites/Lyme disease/prostate/CBC/DIFF/Sed rate/Hep-C/bacteria/viruses/inflammation/arthritis and on and on and on. I mean, I have never in my life had these many tests before and the doc calls and tells me that everything came back normal and that I was perfectly healthy. How can that be when I feel like crap 1/2 the time?. Am I missing something??.

I'll write more later. I'm a bit enebriated at the moment and I need to take care of my freind because he just had a procedure done on his bowels this morning (a colonoscopy) and I need to feed my pet goat who is laying on my bed chewing her cud right now. I have to feed my goose and duck too and...well...more later...

I told my doc that I am keeping a diary on my health probs and she said that is good.

((((((((((HUGS TO ALL OF YOU!!!!)))))))))))))))

Grey,

We anxiety sufferers struggle under an illusion. We think that the feeling we have with anxiety is the same as the feeling of a physical illness. Well it's not, it has its own special taste.

I have had both double pneumonia and bronchitis at different times of my life, and I didn't feel 'ill' like I do with anxiety. It was a completely different challenge. The feeling of anxiety is a special feeling with a special nastiness, and for some reason we keep mixing it up with other physical stuff.

One hospital consultant said "Having a panic attack is the illest that a person can feel."

But it's still a feeling.

Good thoughts, Myzen
