oh no Erin AHHHHHHHHHH that's terrible, 2 months! that's too long; can't you call the doctor who refered you to the T? and tell him what you were just told and ask him to refer you to someone else?
Hang in there and try to stay calm in these very trying times.

Hi!

I live in Ohio and it took me 3 months of waiting to get my T. That was a very frustrating wait. Good luck.

can you call back to say that if there's any cancellations, to please give you a call? that's helped me before. also, there are things that you can be doing in the meantime...you can keep a log/journal of feelings, actions and reactions...that will help immensely when you finally get to go.

i'm sorry. i know it's a long time. i wish i could offer better advice AHHHHHHHHHH

Cancellations is a good idea - got me in too.

Know how you feel - my T is spacing appointments out to try to "keep me going" till another source of help comes through. But I have no idea how long that will take and a gap of a month between appointments isn't helping me at all. Hugs to you if they help.

Erin,

I had a similar experience with my last T. I had to wait a long time for an appointment. It really doesnt make us feel any better in the interim waiting though. I understand that this is hard for you. I would keep a journal until then. Write in it as often as you can. This way your getting your feelings out and at the same time, you can share it with your T when your appointment time comes around. Of course you always have us here in the meantime too. I am proud that you have taking that step. Good for you.

Back to the journaling, I have recently started journaling again myself. I know its hard, but it is worth it. Keep your head up. K?

Hugs,

Jen

There is NO excuse for them making you wait/suffer that long. Can you see someone else instead?. Do you have any/enough meds to pull you through until you can get the help that you need?. I know here in the U.S. you can go to the ER and they will let you see a therapist/psychiatrist right there on the spot (if you request to see one) and they can give you meds (benzos, etc) right there on the spot. Can you do that?.
