Hey, I'm actually responding to other people's posts for a change (including my own). I must really be "chatty" today...lol :-)

Sometimes in addition to anxiety symptoms like tingling, twitching, numbness, tremors, prickling, hot flashes, etc I also get this sensation that feels as if I have tickly little hairs on my face and elsewhere. It's as if a cat or dog was shedding and brushed up against my face and the hairs are tickling me. Does anyone every get that sensation?.

- Regards, GreyGoose

Do you mean like getting the "goosebumps" feeling? If that is what you mean, then yes, I get that also.

Well, it's more or less like if someone took a hair and was tickling your face with it or the hair was just sort of sitting there on your face tickling by itself. I hav'nt had goosebumps since I was a kid so I can't really remember what it feels like.

Oh that sort of feeling, it also reminds me of what walking through a spider web, in the dark, when you don't see it there. That sensation you mention, the feeling of hair or dog/cat sheddings, I find most annoying when it decides to start as I try to sleep. Another sensation, is the feeling that something is crawling through your hair, creeps me out and again annoying. I guess the anxiety and it's levels, cascade down the nervous system, effecting our senses, especially touch.
Well, you take care now, okay?

Darkeyes - Wow, you hit it right on the head with your spiderweb anology. In fact, we live in the country and have lots of big banana spider and they build very large webs so when I get that creepy/crawly sensation, I'm always thinking that I must have bumped into a web.

It could be from allergies too. The top of my head used to get extremely itchy and feel like something was crawling on it (no, not lice Question about a particular anxiety symptom... ) but only in July when our mold count was really high. The doctor gave me Zyrtec and it took care of it.

Good afternoon!. Lately it's been allergies and then this morning, I had a prickly feeling go across the back of my neck. I've been taking singulair for the allergies and it seems to be working somewhat. I'll take any relief I can get at this point! Question about a particular anxiety symptom...
