I often get anxiety attacks when I am faced with a situation that is uncomfortable to me, like going to therapy. As the attack heightens, I will go into a panic attack where it feels like I am actually having a heart attack. I have even gone to the E.R. thinking I was having a heart attack. I have now learned that if I get like that to call my wife to help talk me out of it.
