I can't say it would make one more anxious. I personally think it would make you relax more

I think that depends on your view point of sex. There are some that are extremely anxious about having sex for many different reasons. It can stem from insecurity or past sexual abuse (unresolved feelings) can also make one feel anxious about having sex.

Is there something inparticular that makes you anxious or is it the act itself? Have you spoken to your partner about this? Perhaps your partner could help you feel more at ease.

I have to agree with JMO - ones anxiety level (or not) during sex will have a lot to do with how they perceive sex to be, as a good thing or a dirty event.... past sexual abuse can also play a part in how one will feel during sex.

I personally use/want sex to relax myself and/ or to dismiss my anxiety level.... one night with hubby can make me capable of going another day without fear.

I am only speaking from my experiences.... Sometimes yes. Use to be very anxious about sex. Use to be very intimidated about it and felt like it was something nasty and dirty, and then about 6 yrs ago I went trhu some personal changes in me and I got over the hump of inhibitions.

Now I only have problems with being anxious if something sparks a trigger before, during, or after sex. Other than that I am pretty well disconnected when it comes to sex, but for me in a good way-its all pleasure.
