Yeah, that's happened to me here recently. And now that I think about it, that's probably the real reason why I don't really party anymore...

Drinkin' doesn't really affect me hat bad the next day unless I actually got, at least, a good buzz the night before. My guess is that the toxins in alchohol that remain the next day are affectin' the way we think. - So here's an idea: Try taking Chaser Plus when you're drinkin'. Since that's supposed to stop hangovers, then maybe it'll help with this too.

My ex had this problem a lot. I never understood why she drank when her anxiety always got so bad the next day. My suggestion would be not to drink.

I know that drinking on psych meds can be really dangerous. And if you're on certain psych meds, it can kill you. You're not really supposed to drink on them anyways. But if you insist on drinking, maybe drinking less when you do drink will lessen these awful effects, but I don't really know.

Hang in there.

It SOOOOOO does, for me.

Especially the heart palpitations. My old doctor looked at me when I said that it made me worse like i had three heads (I think he was basing it loosely on the fact that alchohol is a depressant and therefore should calm you down)

I have a theory that since alchohol is a depressant, it changes the way you think. Now when you are actually drinking, you have that happy drinking buzz right? But , when you stop, after the alchohol goes away, you are left with dehydration and sapped vitamin C and other neutrients. My new doctor told me that having low electrolytes alone (which happens when you get dehydrated) can give you heart palpitations and make your heart work harder AND make you dizzy.. which for me leads to anxiety.

Here we go...

Alcohol is a CNS depressant. It decreases the function of your brain. Now, let me ask...if your brain is having problems, what is the logical thing to do...take things that make it work less, or do things to help it work better?

At my rapidly advancing age, I wonder how much of my problem can be attributed to the billions of brain cells I toasted over the years. I don't know, but I have a sneaking suspicion that I would be better off now had I not gone to that 25-year long party that began in '72 or so. Or at least left to get some fresh air on occasion! alcohol and panic attacks

So do what you need to do---just remember, you only have one brain, and you're gonna need it!
