Hi i am so sorry i know what you mean though, i have the same problem an have had it most of my life. I would almost pass out. I ride the cart too, because im afraid of passing out. But i usually try to hurry an get what i need but i alway's forget something. If you come up with anything let me know. I have given up on going anywhere anymore.I have not found anyway to overcome it.

thats sounds like extreme anxiety. it sounds like it is interfering with your daily life... i would see someone about it. they can assist you in overcoming your fears and maybe medicate you so that you can get through life like normal... i say that with love. my therapist is the best thing that ever hapened to me...

I've experienced this a lot of times before, but at no point has anything bad ever happened in regard to my legs. They've never given out in connection with my anxiety; I've never fainted or collapsed. I might have felt like I would, but it never happened.

I find that something which really helped me has been just walking around in general. I try to walk every day, and I recently got into running. It makes me feel so absolutely fantastic about myself. Even if it scares you, take a walk down the street, maybe just start by going in a circle around your block, maybe even a circle around your house?

Im on medication and it still breaks through. I have not had a t in awhile due to finances. I am so exhausted from this panic. I was thinking walking in general might help. But on really bad days im almost home bound. I fight with agoraphobia all the time.

Breathe... Is there a way for you to communicate with your t by phone? Email? Just to get some support in cases like that? I know that I can always call mine when I'm in "crisis" and I use it. It really has been great in battling my own anxiety...

Yes, I can relate to this; quite similar symptoms. My T has been wonderful in also telling me to Breathe, think of a waterfall / nice warm shower over the body . . whatever 'focusses' and relaxes the body and mind. Also to be mindful of your surroundings, and be gentle to yourself.
Good Luck

I relate... feel like my legs will cave in when walking outdoors or around ppl. It´s all anxiety and panic. Started a new med and am now "training" myself to go out for short walks... it takes time and patience!!! Noice triggers my anxiety so it helps me and distracts me to have me ipod on.

Try going for short walks and "train" yourself to go further everyday...
I´m not there yet but am getting closer to going to the store on my own-hopefully...been housebound for weeks. Meds are helping a lot.

Take care and good luck

I have had it a few times and always at work. It was pretty awful. I had to go to the bathroom and shake-shake-shake my legs there to rid them of that sensation. The good thing is that they never really gave in (as described above) - it is just a feeling. Nothing happens in actuality. But boy is it an awful feeling.
