I am a new member and have already posted some posts on OCD. However, along with that it is obviously that if you have OCD, doesn't it ruin your confidence. I am one of those people that are embarrassed to talk about it to someone I know because I do not want them to think I am odd. Any advice??????

hi Puggie, i dont have OCD but i can imagine the effects it can have on you as a person. your confidence will be low for a while, you just need to find a way to be able to open up slowly and build up the confidence.

we all get blips in life where we have zero confidence and it is hard.

no one will think you are odd, we here at PC experience the same things you do, so why would we class you as odd. if you are reffering to the outside world, well they dont need to know that you have OCD, it is not beneficial for them so dont feel you have to tell them.

you have done the first step towards better confidence, by talking about it. please know i am here for support if you need it, and you can pm me if you should ever need it ok.

take care of yourself puggie. and welcome to PC, i look forward to getting to know you in the future.
