You don't say if you have seen a psychiatrist or therapist. I would suggest seeing one soon. Whether you choose meds or counseling or both it would benficial to your moods and phobias. Hope we can be supportive to you on PC. It helps to be able to write out your feelings and have someone else validate that you are being heard. Hope you find peace of mind.

i used to see therapist.i took a treatment for depression for almost 3 years.but there were no results.so i dropped out of it.now things have reached such a stage that they interfere with my daily life.i have started looking bad due to lack of sleep and appetite. due to anxieties i have started smoking and boozing more.but when i look at these anxieties ,they all belong to my past.they have no relevance today.but still they keep haunting me day in and day out.how to break this cycle?

that would be the purpose of therapy. to help work thru the anxieties of the past so you can release them so they no longer bother you. you could also try mindfulness. staying in the present, what is happening in the here and now to keep you in the present so those past anxieities don't take hold of you.

hi
thanks for such a quick reply.let me tell u,my biggest anxiety is things that have been spread about me by haters.frankly speaking out of frustration I visited a prostitute once.some body who knows me spotted me there.he spread the news around at my workplace and residential area.i dont have proof to validate this, but i can make out from changed behavior of people and the sarcastic comments.this entire issue has brought me down.i dont feel like facing people anymore.i dont have any energy to keep going.how to correct the situation because this fact keeps troubling me all the time that i have been brought down purposely by some people who didnt like my progress.

Friend, don't wait to get help. I almost died once because I was afraid to tell my therapist I saw suicide as an option. I am so glad I am still here.

I have only one close friend, but she is a real treasure. Even one person can make a huge difference in your life.

Please don't let other people drag you down (I speak also to myself!)

Let go of the past. Decide now that you are going to begin healing.

Sometimes my therapist has to "hold on to the hope for me" because I lost my hope at times.

Do you believe in your Heavenly Father?

yes i agree with u.but medications made me feel more sick when I used to see therapist.my eyes would water down.my body cycle got disturbed.thats why I stopped taking medicines and meeting therapist.I think time is a good healer.I am sure all those bad memories will fade away with time.haters come and go.but one this is for sure these entire bad events which are making me feel sick tought me a lot of lessons.I think now I can deal with people, situations in a better manner.but fact remains that at the moment life sucks.just praying to God that I get better with the passage of time.
