I have developed a lot of anxiety issues due to recent increase in reoccuring Intrusive Thoughts with my OCD... but some thing that has happened since I was a kid and I haven't had happen in years has come back.

I will be just sitting doing something and all of a sudden my mind races... everything around me seems to be going faster than normal, my head spins, my dog is walking past me faster than normal and the anxiety sets in and I can't focus on anything around me... does this happen to anyone else? please help.

I get a racing mind and intrusive thoughts but I don't feel that things outside are going faster than normal.

First of all I would speak to my doctor to find out what's going on.

Can you practise relaxation every day? Find at least 20 minutes in your day to completely relax.

Also when your mind starts to race try practising mindfulness to slow it down. Stay in the moment and try to name what you can see, smell, taste, hear and feel in that moment. Do it slowly and talk slowly to yourself whilst breathing deeply.
