it's getting worst. every morning before i have to go to work, i get so nauseous that i don't want to move. today at 4:30 am i woke up to my stomach turning. went back to sleep and woke up at 8 to the same thing. sat crying to mom that i didn't feel good. went to work and cried, made people think that im starting to break down. and i feel like i am. i don't know how to make the crying stop. whats wrong with me?
i went to the doctor to figure out my stomach issues, but everything came back normal. i have nothing physically wrong with me. so i do i make this anxious feeling go away? i feel like im going crazy. |

You can handle it but you shouldn't have to. Do you see a doctor for your anxiety?

You really should. Nobody should have to live like that. The doc who saw you about the stomach pains... he/she never mentioned anxiety and stress?

Can you find another doctor?

See a psychiatrist. You'll thank yourself later. I was in a similar state, and it was such a relief! You say there is nothing physically wrong with you. Your brain is as physical as the rest of your body! Its your most important organ. Take good care of it as you would if anything else was ailing you.

Is it your work situation? I don't think working/somewhere that makes your stomach hurt is going to be helped by medicine or therapy, etc. Does your stomach hurt on weekends? When you are on vacation/get up and go somewhere else? Has it hurt before like this, going to school, for example?

I'm in the same situation...
I have to go into work tomorrow and the next day, and I'm already skeptical... I'm going to try my best though! Remember, it's okay to cry. If you have to, go into a bathroom, splash your face with water, just sit there, cry for a few minutes, take a deep breath, and trudge on. I have trouble following through with that myself, but I have to try, and I know you do to. Do your best! (p.s. Tell your doctor about your feelings, they may refer you to a therapist) I went yesterday, and my doctor actually said I may have a personality disorder...Don't let it wait, get checked out! It may be more than just anxiety! |

Yes i agree, if you get the correct diagnosis you can get the right treatment. That's what happened to me and I'm very pleased with the therapy I'm getting, for the first time I feel like I can recover

thank you everyone for replying and giving me their thoughts. just a few things to add
1. yes it usually only happens when im going to work, but in the past week it has been anytime, any day. ill wake up feeling sick to my stomach in the morning, have it go away to just come back at night. i'm going crazy about it. 2. i am planning on going back to the doctors to talk about therapy or medications that i could benefit from. its getting really hard to handle. another thing to note is though, i feel empty inside. not there. is this due to anxiety or depression? im so new to these things, i'm sorry. |
