Yesturday me and my boyfriend had to drive to St Catharines, which is about an hour away from where my boyfriend's house is. The drive was fine, going to see my family was good, we went to a family owned italian resturant to have an Easter lunch since we couldn't all be together today. So I was fine, we were eating chatting, I was gorging on bread. Anyway's our meal comes and I take a bite of pasta and all of a sudden i'm feeling edgy, sick, anxiety ridden, not sure what the cause was.. maybe because we had about 12 people at the table, maybe I was feeling to crowded?

I thought that I was going to have to excuse myself and make a run for the bathroom or outside, but I stuck it out and couldn't really finish my meal... I don't know what caused it, any ideas?

Sundance,
Perhaps all the emotions of the day i.e., excitement, happiness, etc. taxed on you and your anxiety. Also, perhaps all the social stimulation triggered your anxiety. Sounds like you were a bit overwhemled for a short time. But it sounds like you did well to recover yourself and ride through the anxiety however unpleasant I am sure it was at that time. Maybe you can view this positively. Because although you did get a bit anxious you were able to ride through and let it pass.

<font color=purple>Yeah I guess I can look at it that way. I just hate it when it pops up like that, I had another thread going called anxiety pop ups, that is the exact thing that happened to me ovber the weekend.....

I wanted tor un, but I didn't, so I'm glad that I didn't jump up and bolt.

I'm not always good in crowds.. I use to always get panic attacks in malls even if I didn't get anxiety initially.

I hate when that happens. But I'm glad that I could think about other things, but it was tough I was feeling over-whelmed and I didn't like that, couldn't finish my meal... Almost went into complete panic mode..
