Hey Beeblove I'm sorry you've had a rough day.
I'm a bit the same in terms of trying to manage things without meds. Exercise, music, a chat with an understanding friend are all things that can work for me. But sometimes we all need a little extra help, even if it's a short term course just to help get us through a period of time. I think it would be worth speaking to your doctor, discuss the options. It might be you could be monitored for a period of time before you make any decisions as to the best way forward. Sending you warm wishes & hoping this finds you feeling a little better.

Oh my god, I so know the feeling of being "jacked up on hormones," nasty business when it starts to mess with your head. Trust your doctors, but do tell them your fears as they can address them. There are anxiety meds out there that don't cause dependence or tolerance, let alone addiction, and are very gentle even for short term. (I am on gabapentin, and it gets rid of my anxiety without making me feel like I'm "on" something). However, going on meds or going the natural route are not mutually exclusive. Yoga and mediation are a kind of medicine, so is cooking and eating healthy, delicious food, aromatherapy, or doing anything to nurture your mind and body. Taking pills from a dr. and doing all these things might be the best solution as you learn about yourself and what coping skills are right for you. Don't give up, take care
