I love my PC friends immensely. In just the very short time I've been here I've made wonderful friends.

I'm extremely concerned right now for two inparticular.

We all deal with issues and illnesses that can ultimately lead to injury and/or death.

For some of you who have been posting for a while, how do you deal with knowing someone is hurting, trying to help, but not allowing yourself to become overly worried and anxious?

Thank you!

It can be very difficult keeping our boundaries in place when dealing with other's difficult issues. Our hearts are in the right place and yet we need to protect them in the process and keep ourselves safe.

I think what helps me the most is that I know that I cannot control anyone other than myself. Ultimately, everyone has control over only themselves. We can give folks the support and tools to help themselves, but it is completely up to them what they take from that. Knowing we have done the best we can and understanding that we can do no more, has to be the way we care for ourselves in the process.

Sometimes people come into our lives for a short time. They make their marks on us and we on them. From there, our lives go on to whatever road is to be taken. Knowing in our hearts that we are the best friends we can be at the time is what will carry us through the dark and scary times.

Take good care of YOU dear one.....and in that way you can do your best for your friends and loved ones.
