Very often I get nervous and gloomy when I think about the future, especially in terms of finance and relationships. My image usually seems gloomy and depressing. Sometimes it feels like everything is just going to cave in. My career, survival in general. Im plagued with worry about just how bad things are gonna be? It feels like nothing is going to turn out right. Its all going to go wrong. help!

Hi!

I do also seem to worry, though I have been trying to talk about this with my therapist. I don' t know if you are in therapy though if the anxiety and depression gets to be too much to where it interferes with everyday life then it is a sign that you may need to talk to a mental health professional to see about getting evaluated for these problems.

I am on medication for anxiety and depression as well as therapy, and I still have a really difficult time about worry. I have learned to tell myself to get back to the here and now, and focus on what I am doing at that very moment. It is also helpful for me to try and remember or remind myself that I need to take "One Day at a Time" . This is all easier said than done. Posting here is a good outlet as well.

I do hope you have a nice today fear of the future

Take Care,

I am also one who cannot be content in the here and now, and attribute this forecasting as the greatest cause of my anxiety. While thankfully it doesn't pertain to my relationship, my marriage, it does effect every other area of my life--career, outlook, etc. It always seems like I'm looking a year or more down the road. I've always cherished my fitness and recreation, but that has been impacted by a disk herniation for the last year and feel that I may "never" be better. I also tend to be overwhelmed by the notion of finding my "perfect" or life-long career and cannot be happy if things aren't quite right. Ryan
