The Buddhist nun Pema Chödrön has book in print titled: Comfortable With Uncertainty. (It's one of a number of fine books she has written.) The premise is that we can never be certain about anything.

Hello whispershadow,
To me, if no one has actually said they want to destroy or harm you and take Ebony and Tigger away, and there really is no one in your life who would care to do that, then I would do my best to work on - day in and day out - letting go of those thought patterns. It brings too much fear/anxiety feeding those worries. Tell yourself, 'yes, I do know, no one wants to destroy me and take Ebony and Tigger away.' Your cats and yourself will be okay whispershadow, don't you worry. |
