I've never been diagnosed with an anxiety problem. I once stepped into a mental health professionals office a couple months ago, she immediately told me I probably have really bad depression and anxiety issues, without me ever opening my mouth. My parents apparently talked to her and it's pretty obvious how insane my life is by just talking to them. For some reason, I couldn't talk about it. About how every waking moment I am just afraid. How it feels like I'm in the verge of a panic attack all of the time and I just can't escape from life. Once I graduated middle school I was homeless and now I just live with whatever friend that will take me. I need help, but can't seem to ask for it- which I feel awful about and that just makes everything worse.

It's very uncomfortable to feel always on the verge of an anxiety/panic attack.
![]() Is there a reason you have not followed up for further evaluation and care? Many people have difficulty talking with a therapist (T) and/or a psychiatrist (pdoc). In some cases, some have found it helpful to keep a diary to share and/or to write a letter to the practitioner which they share during an appointment. Panic attacks are often self-perpetuating, in that the more you have, the more you are going to have. It's important to interrupt them as soon as possible. What are your fears about treatment, either therapy and/or meds? Please continue making yourself at home here at the PC support forums. You might also be interested in the Teens Lounge and/or in the Depression forum. Be kind to yourself! ![]() ![]() WC

Well, you've taken a positive step in the right direction 233629, by saying this much. Well done. You're right, it is hard asking for help or maybe even believing you need help in the first place, but keep reaching out 233629, let yourself open up little by little, and slowly but surely you'll be able to ask for the help you need and deserve - yes, deserve.
