Recently I had a upper Gi And a lower Gi, and tons of blood work and along with that I had a son-a-gram on my galbadder and live and so. The doctor told me there was nothing bad wrong with me other than acid reflux disease. He said I was heathly. Surely I want to believe that, but my depression is so bad and my panic attacks are coming more offen than I like, I'm still scared theres something wrong with me. Like today, I ended up at the doctors office again for more blood work. I'm having so many body symptoms aches and pain headaches you name it. I have it. The Doctor put me on today Lexapro, and I'm so scared to take it. One of my fears besides dying is taking pills. I'm not sure if this pill will help. Can someone who takes it PLEASE tell me the true about this pill. WILL IT HELP ? She also changed my acid reflux pill because I'm still nausea and can't eat. I was taken protonix and she changed it to Aciphex, Is this a better choice ? And with everything else I have irritable bowel syndrome. I feel I'm really starting to loose it. If you have any advise, I could sure use it right now. I'm so scared I'm going to make myseld very sick.
signed, very scared Michelle

it sounds like you're already making yourself sick on top of your physical ailments, hon.

my father was one of the healthiest people i know... until he got a job that was far too stressful for any human being and developed a bleeding ulcer which gives him problems even 10 years later. i think he has acid reflux disease, as well. i think it's important that people do what they can to take good care of their GI health because it seems so closely related to anxiety and anxiety disorders.

i've never taken lexapro, but i've heard really good things about it. i would try it with an open mind and see where it takes you. i think it's obvious you're in all kinds of pain now and the worst that can happen is that the pill won't make a damn bit of difference. please give it a show and trust your docs.

good luck and be gentle with yourself,
ghost

I am so sorry that you are feeling so scared right now. Medical problems can be hard to deal with and anxiety can only make it worse. Go easy on yourself. It sounds like you could really use a break. I know it sounds impossible, but try to relax and focus on feeling better.

My doctor prescribed Lexapro for me but I never took it because pills make me very nervous. But I think that it is definetly worth a try. I am always wondering what it would be like if I took the meds. It can't hurt for you to try.
Take care of yourself and remember that it WILL get better. Kate Can someone help ?

Hello Michelle,
Really sorry to hear you are having a tough time. I am not trying to down play your physical ailments but it sounds like to me your anxiety/stress is causing alot of your physical ailments. I have an anxiety disorder with panic attacks and before I was medicated I developed acid reflux, gastritis, and I lost like 10-15lbs in a month from not eating because anxiety level was soooo high. However, when I started on Celexa and later switched to Lexapro which I am currently on now and noticed that many of my physical ailments got alot better! I am presently taking lexapro and have been for almost a year now and it has worked very well for me with no side effects. Lexapro is a really good medications for anxiety and depression and has very few side effects. Good luck and keep us updated! We are all here for you!

Can someone help ?
