Hello,

( a little back story )

I'm a 30 year old guy currently taking bupropion HCL XL 150mg / wellbutrin for my anxiety ( today is my 14th day ) It's too soon to tell if it's working and the anxiety is just really beating me up.. chest pains, can't eat, too nauseous, dry mouth, headaches etc...panic attacks are feeling worse...I'm kinda desperate to rid the anxiety but I'm also a skeptic when it comes to taking things, it's like a little phobia I have...

Does anyone use CBD for anxiety??? Does it work? Will it interact with my medicine? I asked my Dr and she has no clue about cbd or anything.

tl;dr...

Basically what I'm asking is... if I take gummies or tinctures will there be any side effects with my medicine i'm taking? will it help my anxiety?

I'd be hesitant to advise you because I don't have a medical degree. But I don't think taking CBD with Bupropion would be a problem. Maybe look up the interactions before you try it.

My wife and daughter both use CBD for their anxiety and it works well for them.

CBD is amazing. I don't think your doctor isn't helping you there with their recommendation; against taking it.

I've tried 8+ anti-depressants. Been on Benzodiazepines for over 7 years. Tried every recreational drug most people have even heard of, and more.
CBD is the only thing that has actually made me 99% free of physical anxiety.
It works very well on the mental aspect of anxiety too.
I vaporized it. It's much more effective than orally taking it. Sublingual (under the tongue) is the best alternative to vaporising it.

Ask your doctor if they forsee any medication interaction / side-effects. Maybe a different doctor or, at least ask why they think it won't help.
For anxiety - CBD is the best thing i've found in 15 years of searching. It annoys me that a G.P wouldn't recommend it for anxiety.
I would certainly recommend you it. I believe it'll help massively - both with mental anxiety, and the physical effects anxiety has on the body.

Get a good brand. The difference is night and day between brands as it's an unregulated industry.
I have OCPD and OCD - I am good at research.... after 14hours researching I settled on this brand:
CBDDistillery. Here's the U.Ks official distributor;
Hempbotanics.com

Side-effects wise - CBD has dry mouth, and I believe it can lower blood pressure slightly.
One of the main side-effects with Bupropion is it makes you more likely to have seizures (lowers seizure threshold).... - CBD has an anti-seizure effect. so I can't personally see CBD being a problem. (I have no medical certification or training) Do ask a doctor however.
Has bupropion been helping? I remember reading one of the side-effects is anxiety.

-
It really is superb CBD. Full-spectrum is better imo. (CBDDistillerry have pure CBD and Full-spectrum CBD)

I came on this anxiety forum wondering if any of the posts would mention "CBD" and if not, I'd make a post but you did..

So I second this. CBD is amazing. I took 100mg last night. Next time I'll just take 50mg but I used to have severe panic attacks and was taking Ativan and as soon as I started taking CBD, the panic attacks went away completely.

Every day, the CBD concentration cuts by half from your last dose. So I took 100mg yesterday, now I'm on 50mg CBD today which is 50% and tomorrow it will be 25mg.

If 10mg isn't working for you, try 20-25mg and you should notice effects. 50mg is a good dose too if you really don't notice it.

CBD can be like a benzo but different. It relaxes the muscles and makes you yawn and tears come from my eyes when I yawn on CBD. I noticed that it lowered my blood pressure so I didn't notice my heart beating much (Usually I'm really aware of my heart beating and scared that it is.. Now on CBD I'm scared because I'm not scared of being too aware of my heart beating because I notice it less.. Isn't that crazy?). During panic attacks, my heart just pounds but not anymore.

It may not work for everyone but I'd give it a few months of taking it every day and I can almost guarantee that you will have less anxiety or it may even be gone..

Glad it's working well for you Desoxyn.
Yeah, it really has helped me so much. Glad to hear you find higher doses better.
I too have found I need quite large doses, taken sublingual or orally - when I vaporise it, I need a lot less - but the effects wear off within 1.5 - 2 hours.. and vaporizing seems to raise tolerance in a way that oral/sublingual doesn't.
Wheareas under the tongue, it'll last 6-7 hours.. with reproduce-able effects every day.

The muscle relaxation helps a lot too. As being so anxious all the time and in fight or flight mode. I get so tense. And I'm too anxious to have a stretch and sort my body out so it gets progressivley worse.

I haven't been taking it for the last 2 weeks. I pushed the envelope with vaporising (I overdid the vaporising, got a big tolerance and CBD wasn't having the effects I desired)
It's re-affirmed how effective this medication is for me.
I was doing so well, and these last two weeks I've slipped back into my anxious hell. Like CBD was a vacation of sorts.
I'm back on it today. Currently waiting for it to kick in.

It enabled me to lower my Diazepam dose from 10mg to 2mg one time.
I stopped taking CBD, then relapsed on Diazepam.
Since I started taking it again 3 months ago. I've lowered my Diazepam dose by about 40%.
It simply works. Very well. And has health benefits as opposed to a long list of nasty side effects and a withdrawal to boot.
10/10 for anxiety from me.

I am interested in this for anxiety. However, I have always had thin blood (I think due to blood type - O) and I have heard that CBD can thin blood. This not only can lower blood pressure which is relatively low anyway, but I don't want to be walking around with poor blood clotting.

I find CBD to be very effective with panic attacks and anxiety.

My only complaint, is some of the lower dose varieties wear off quickly.

Last one I got was double strength, and I've doubled the dose when necessary.

It works wonderfully. I take it sublingually.

I’ve been considering CBD for excessive social anxiety. You mention the amount you take, but My question is what ratio do you take CBD to THC Ratio.?

Before I started taking CBD Oil, I checked with my pharmacist to make sure there was no drug interaction with my medication. Once he said everything looked fine, I started off on 250 mg. Since then I have increased it to 1000 mg. It does seem to relax me some. But not really that much. I find valarian root works better for me. I guess it just depends on your chemistry. And I get even more relaxation out of a daily meditation routine.

Yes, I've used multiple CBD products over the years and have recreationally used marijuana strains as well. living in a legal state there's more options and availability now, It's helpful to a certain degree in relaxing you but there's no one size or treatment that fixes everything especially not mental illness. If you're interested in good ol' marijuana smoking find yourself a really good Indica strain. I'd personally recommend some kind of Kush. Remember to use anything with High CBD and Low THC because too much THC will exacerbate your anxiety. There's also other ways of consuming CBD, you can get infused vape juice if you're concerned about smoking which I have tried as well. Also, there are edibles you can use I have CBD infused gummy bears and water.
