Has anyone ever have vision problems due to anxiety?

I failed my vision test renewing my drivers license and I saw my PDOC thinking it might be meds and he said it probably was anxiety. He wants me to take xanex 10 days before I go again and see if that works.

If that doesn't work, then I guess I'm off to the eye doctor.

I'd definately be off to the eye doctor. My mother recently had a bout with vision problems, but it turned out to be diabetes from the Zyprexia. Luckily her blood sugar is undercontrol and the eye doctor doesn't think that she's suffered any permanent damage. Good luck, please let us know how it turned out.

My Pdoc was right. It was anxiety. I did what he said and took the xanax and today I passed the vision test with no problem.

I can't believe how this anxiety affects so many parts of us.

the only vision issue I had was when I was reading a book at work for a few hours and I had not took my eyes off the book and then a guest came to the counter and I got up to check them in and I looked at the computer and everything was so blurry. I freaked out, and my anxiety took over, so I called my mom (which always comforts me) and she explained it was probably because I had my nose in the book for too long. Thats the only vision anything Ive had.

Yes, I did experience vision problems. Like the one posted stated that anxiety can affect so many parts of the body. For example, I felt my eyes wondering and even jumping. Consequently, I can recall my ex-husband and my mother asking me years ago why are your jumping around. Maybe I was experiencing anxiety back then and did not know it.

Consequently, my doctor had diagnosis with an early onset of glaucoma; at the time I was only 37. However, this diagnosis came along with high blood pressure and anxiety, go figure.

Yes, I experience vision problems too. Mine are migraines in my eye and they happen when I am really anxious or under a lot of stress. Its kinda like your looking into a kaleidescope, crazy!
