Wow this is my first post this place seems so awesome! I was just curious if any body here could actual relate to these symptoms. Fatigue, lightheadness, hot flashes, tingling in my extremities (mostly feet) and I have what I call brain fog, where I feel like I'm drunk. It is really affecting my work and my social life. I'm starting to avoid going out in public because I'm scared I'm going to pass out. I went to my family doc and he give me the full cardiac check-up. Went to the ENT and had an MRI and ENT and those came back fine as well. This started in OCT. and has gotten worse. Everyone I know has told me it's anxiety. I just don't know. Someone please help!

Hello dy6822 and Welcome to PC!

Since we are not doctors here, no one can diagnose you. Those symptoms certainly sound as though you could be having a problem with anxiety. But they could also be symptoms of another underlying physcial ailment as well.

Maybe you can track your symptoms by writing them down when they occur and also making note of what you were doing before the symptom came about. Could they possibly be connected to hormonal changes? Do they come on out of the blue? Have you had any neurological testing done to rule out that issue? What have you done to help the symptoms to go away? Do they ever go away? Have you had bloodwork done and tested for diabetes? How about testing for vitamin deficiancy? There could be a number of different reasons for feeling these kinds of symptoms and I hope you can narrow it down.

Sometimes in journaling what is happening and when, you can find some kind of pattern (not always but sometimes) to what is going on.

I'm sure these symptoms are very concerning to you. I'm sorry you are having to deal with them. I wish you well in your quest of getting to the bottom of them.

What in the World is the Matter with me?

Ive had the fatigue really bad, lightheadness, nausea, hot flashes, tingling (oh do i hate the tingling)!

Dont you hate feeling like your going to pass out? It drives me nuts. Its getting better but in the beginning I was so afraid I was going to pass out, I would be terrified to take a shower. I was taking a shower every 3 days and I would leave the bathroom door half open, and I would ask hubby to just sit in there with me just in case. Its a horrible thing to go through. But hey, once I get over this anxiety once and for all I will feel like I accomplished something huge!!

Yes Balish the feeling that I'm fixing to pass is what most troubles me. I'm an EMT by trade and we have to walk miles through hospitals it seems to deliver our patients. Sometimes I just have to sit down because I get so overwhelmed with my lightheadedness/unsteadiness. They won't let me drive the ambulance just in case I have an "episode" while driving.

And Sabby thanks for the excellent idea of keeping a journal. I actually had to wear a holter monitor for 24 hrs and kept a journal but as luck would have I didn't experience hardly any symptoms. My symptoms just seem to come from out of nowhere. My family doc checked my blood twice as a matter of fact. I don't know if he check for vitamin deficiency in that or not. as well as anemia or hypothyroidism.

I have an Appt with my Doc tomorrow because I have finally had enough. Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to my post. This thing is so weird and alot of my friends and family don't understand what I'm going through and I feel sort of alone. Again thank you so much and have a great day!
