In life bad things happen, but what are the chances that what goes on specifically what a person fears or what it is in the thought would actually come to pass? Is there even a remote chance that the thoughts come to be based on the truth or that what goes on is actually true? How about if a person had an obsessive thought happen to them or something similar in real life? Could the specific thought actually be true or is it the truth expanded to a point where it almost becomes a lie?

Do you watch the TV show Monk? He has all those obsessions and works around them but gets on with his life and catches the bad guys. But he doesn't get ill from his obsessions about germs (the germs don't get him) and he can't keep his friends from touching "dirty" things and they don't get sick.

Obsessive thoughts "could" happen but it's not from the thinking of them. Someone obsessed with their health is eventually probably going to get sick but that's because everyone does, not because of their thinking.

I avoid conclusions GeeN in my life. My expereince shows me that once I conclude, I limit the possibilites.

So thus far,,my best guess to your question/thought is that our consciousness is what creates our reality. We basically build our own destinies through perception and thought..

If our perceptions are fear based we will live a fearfull existence. If we live open to life and it's Grace then the infinite is available.

Think of perceiving life from a closet or a classroom or a shopping mall or on top of a mountain and ponder the varied thoughts that would be fed to you through your perceptions from each point of view. They may all have some base in Truth but certainly not the same potential of the "Truth".

IMHO.

I agree. Things depend on how we see them. If we think too much of the negative aspect, thats what happens because that is what we think. But if we think of the positive side, it happens also because its how we believe.

So if thats how it works, why choose negative thinking when you can let the positive one happen?

Have you guys heard of the book or movie, "the secret"? Its very uplifting.
