again.......I feel a train wreck coming on.

Anxity through the roof.........Locomotive Breath playing in my head constantly with Pink Floyd phrase "I can feel on of my turns coming on". This one is going to be a doozy.

((((((((((((( 50guy )))))))))))))

Is there something you can use as a stopper to put in place when you start feeling overwhelmed? Anything in the past that you can draw on that gave some relief??

I sure hope it doesn't happen for you...keeping you in my thoughts!

50guy, I hate that feeling. Knowing it's coming.

Can you kind of clear your schedule a bit and plan some basic pleasures? Music, movies, whatever?

This is what I try to do but I know it's easier said than done.

From one fan of The Wall to another, I hope you feel better.

me too...I can't stand when I'm gearing for it.

It's better to plan to be busy, or for me, I might be in the bubble bath with a trade magazine (if I'm lucky).

Cyran0 is so right. Movie, some popcorn, fresh pj's if the activities are indoors...I remember to breathe, only listen to light new age or instrumental musc (nothing with triggers) and it helps when I spray my place with an aromatherapy scents of natural origins, pure oils.. for anxiety I use lavander in the bedroom, sweet orange around the house, especially kitchen area and eucalyptus in the bathroom for my hot shower of bath that calms me, or in the hallways... always seems to calm me...my heartrate slows, I breath deeply, I feel calmer.

I tell myself 'NO" to certain thought patterns when they start to trip me out, and I really try to mediatate, even if I don't succeed, I tried. If I get to a crying jag, I let it out and then spoil myself with any or all of the above.

I did some exersize and got in the sauna with some instrumental native music. Then I worked on some things around the house.

The horrible feeling of impending doom was dropping over me so I went out for a bike ride in 40 degree weather.
I came home and showered and watched some tv for awhile, just a good western and then listened to more music. It got to the point that I couldn't even speak to anyone.

I'm doing ok now, didn't take any meds.

Congrats! You did great and are inspiring.

Distraction works wonders for me sometimes with anxiety, including exercise. I also have to give myself time to be alone when I need it.

I'm feeling a lot better today so far. The sun is out and shining bright, it's gonna finally feel like spring today.

Life is good.

Good deal. I just went through a rough patch recently too and today is indeed another day, a good day.

When I feel that specific feeling? Impending doom? I find it usually means someone is very angry at me and I'm getting their bad vibes. I say a prayer for their energy to be sent back to them and ask for a bubble of protection to surround me.

This may sound loony, but it works for me.

Right on 50 Guy! Nice work.

Exercise is a really good distraction for me when I feel a PA coming on. It seems to throw a wrench in the physical symptoms that are trying to manifest.
