<font color="purple">...and tornado warnings north of us. Severe Thunderstorm Warning
Beuatiful, just great. Yea, I knew with this freakishly hot weather that they'd happen eventualy, but this kind of stress is one of the LAST things that I need right now. I'm afraid I'll just have a panic attack like I sometimes do (rather then just anxiety) and/or just loose it. It depends on how severe the thunderstorm is.

Kaika~
I understand what you mean. This weather is no fun. As a child I was in a vehicle with my mom when a funnel cloud went over a town we were in. The car shook back and forth. Ever since that I've been scared of severe weather. And the past couple weeks have been full of it. I just try to watch and see what is happening. Be as prepared as possible. Like I have a laundry basket with an old comforter and a couple pillows, flashlight and batteries and radio all in the basement. I know what corner to go to( they say the SW corner of a basement or in a room or hallway or closet with no windows around are the best. Being prepared gives you that power back. So your in control of the situation, the situation isnt in control of you. And just remember to breath slowly.. that will help keep you calmer also.

I wish you the best.

I used to be very afraid of storms but I learned a little bit more about weather and what causes it to act a certain way. Then I figured out my emergency plan and now I am a lot calmer in the face of a storm. Severe Thunderstorm Warning Severe Thunderstorm Warning Severe Thunderstorm Warning

hey, i know what it's like. i've had a phobia of storms since i was a child. if there is even the slightest chance of severe weather or a tornado, i can't sleep at night until i convince myself i'm ok. i guess the weather is just part of life - must learn to 'work' around it...
