Anxiety is like this monster that takes over your mind and body. It's horrible, I hate it, it makes me feel so bad. I hate myself when it hits. Everyone angers me and upsets me. It's as bad as depression but in a different way.

I need ideas on what to do to get rid of it when it hits (without drugs). My MD gave me Klonopin but that's addictive and I can't pop a pill every time it hits.

Lucky me, I didn't get just one mental health problem but three.

well there are lots of things you can try, that don't have to do with drugs, so i've been told. there's therapy, cbt, daily techniques, and more. talk with a therapist or doctor for more options...

I use physical excercise to level it out..

Used to go to a gym but now I just have an elliptical machine at home. 30 minutes a day. Doesn't have to be super rigorous

Hi again Angel, I figured out what all the components were that were causing my anxiety and then I fixed them. I still look back in wonder that it could be done (fixed). Do you know why everyone is angering and upsetting you?

What I do, and sometimes it DOES help
simply zone out, or excuse yourself for a moment; then focus on counting doubles.
out loud or in your head
for example
1
2
4
8
16
32
64
go as high as you can untill you cant do the math.
Dont always start with the same number or it'll just become a memory game.
Try starting with 1, 3, 4, whatever

Repeat if you have to.

It'll give you something to do while all the bullspit going on around you plays out.
