Hello. I am a female who believes has ADHD. I have looked up the symptoms and know it's exactly like me, but I feel like there is more gender specific things to it. I know that boys tend to be more hyperactive then girls so that's why men are usually diagnosed more often.
I was just wondering about more things from people who experience it. Thanks. Also, one of my step-sisters for sure has it (both hyperactivity and inattentive), and the other one might have either one, I'm not sure. No one is diagnosed with it for the people I know that probably have ADHD. So this information might help three people get the treatment they need. Thank you. |

Like, how do you explain AD/HD in girls to someone, what the symptoms are in girls compared to boys, is there medication that works better on girls than boys or vice versa...
General questions would be: -How you don't have to be hyperactive to have AD/HD (I realized that his is actually how it is written) or like "why do you have ADHD? You're not hyper!" or just explain to someone about AD/HD not meaning hyperactivity -Does medication help? -How do you deal with ADHD? |

I was thinking about it, but I am taking an antidepressant for anxiety at the moment. I might bring it up again later because then I can get teacher input. |
