Memory Loss due to antidipressants

Do all antidepressant causes memory loss and loss of coordination ? I was on and off on Prozac 20 mg for a while and all the time i start taking these pills i start loosing track of everything...It doesnt wipe out all the memory but it makes it too hard to remember stuff that i did in past. It reduces my attention span, i feel very hard reading books, logical thinking etc....

I am not on depression medication right now...i am taking Addrell XR 15 mg for better concentration and coordination. Its been working really good. but i still get anxious and depressed if something bad happens, i want to go back on Anti Depressant or Anti Anxiety medicines but i afraid that i will start loosing memory and it will alleviate ADHD symptoms, that i faced in past.

Does anybody expericed the same as me ? Did other Anti Depressant work for you ? Can i take Anti Depressant and ADHD medicines parallely ?

i have used all kinds of antidepressants including prozac. one of them, neurontin, caused some memory problems for me. In contrast prozac made me sharper and more alert. prozac does not cause memory problems but it can make you throw up alot which is why i quit it.
Here's what you don't know: the depression itself can cause memory problems and it gets real easy to confuse your illness with the presumed side-effects of medication for the illness. I think that is what is going on with you and prozac, chaturchand. try not to let it scare you. try to deal with it and in a few weeks you'll be better. g'luck

I think very few people face this problem. Even Doc wasnt agree with me....I think it could be Doze. One intersting thing is i recover very fast....within two days ( one Cap of 20 mg per day). I heared for most of the people Anti depressiont take one to two weeks to kick in. Do you think 20mg is too high for me ?

I have had memory loss due to medications. I have been off medication for a year now. I am slowly gaining back my memory. I hope I can find a medication which doesn't rid of my memory and I hope you can too.

I dont have that much sever loss but i loose track of scheduled stuff...i loose motivation, cant pay attention in reading etc....In short i get all ADHD symptoms back....
