There is a stepwise procedure described to give an answer using a 1–8 (interval) scale, but you may also answer with natural language (I am a psycholinguist, and/so I am certainly not against that). You may also use a 1–10 scale and I will normalise that to an 1–8 scale: likewise, 1–4 is fine if that would be easier. Just answering any way you please will be interesting and helpful. I have made it overly complicated maybe and you're certainly not the only one that thinks so. ![]()

We're just not used to the language and procedure you've used Icare, and though some of us are more numbers-inclined everyone has a different way of doing it. You have your very own way of writing, and it's beautiful, but likewise your language of numbers is very much yours and none of us have ever been around you any amount to learn how you use it.
Hope I'm not sounding critical - people tell me I come across very blunt and direct and it offends people when I do. As someone who's special interests are language and numbers (specifically sequences and trends; patterns), I like how you write and you're using a scientific way of figuring out what you want to know, but the process itself and the explanation for it isn't how a lot of us think. If you think about a box - you may be an expert on the material of the box, and can tell us everything about its properties, but unless we are experts ourselves we wouldn't fully understand we're told about the properties. And because we use completely different materials, we have a different process of constructing the box so we can't even imagine how any other material would differ when used in construction because we haven't used anything different in our lives. If you want to understand the trends and patterns by having us predict another's outcomes, and later give our own outcomes, I'm afraid we're much too experts on our own box material to think that laterally. Hope this is a reasonably helpful explanation of why we're having trouble ![]()

Ok, here goes! On a scale of 1-8, with 1 being the least important and 8 being the most important:
- how important do you find routine? 6. I am open to some changes if they are exciting and involve something fun or useful. - how important do you find freedom? 8. - how important do you find clarity? 8 because I do not understand most NT's way of explaining things; therefore, I require a lot of clarity. - how important do you find music? 8 because I am a musician and vocalist and its what I excel in. - how important do you find works of fiction? 4. I appreciate the human imagination and find works of fiction entertaining; however, I don't find it a necessity, thus the reason I gave it a 4. - how important do you find proof? 7 - how easily are you distracted by things in your surroundings? It depends. Annoying, loud, angry or upset people 8, all other random noises, 1. - how easily are you distracted by new ideas? I'm not sure about this one. To me, new ideas can be annoying or exciting depending if their application and feasibility is explained/proven. I'm going to give this one a 1 because I can ignore them easily if it doesn't interest me. - how easily are you distracted by unwanted thoughts? 6 I have a hard time putting certain things out of my mind. - how normal would you consider yourself? The real me? Honestly, I don't know who I would compare myself to in order to be considered normal. The doppelganger version of me trying to fit in so I don't scare the NTs off? I can pull of a 6 on a good day. I hope that was somewhat helpful. I had fun answering it. |
