I really doubted this day would ever come...

I've been med-free for 3months and 6 days, and I finally, finally feel like myself, before dx in 2010!

It's been a hellava ride, as most of you know, thanks SO much for all your love and support you helped make this a reality for me.

I'm actively getting out of my depressive habits, like LEAVING MY RO0M, reconnecting with friends, engaging in life, socializing, taking pride in my appearance AND spending more time with my daughter!

I feel C0NFIDENT, positive and I'm actively applying for jobs and I'm even gonna start power-walking

I feel REAL good, like I did before my nasty break-up and family deaths of '09. But N0T in a manicky kind of way. No boundless energy, racing thoughts, buzzing or even irritability. No grandoise thinking, hypersexuality or impulsivity! Just HAPPINESS and C0NTENTMENT

Thanks for reading!

I think I may be a bit controversial when I saw this, but I think it's a wonderful thing you've done for yourself.

I believe that the U.S.'s model to treat those who are 'mentally ill' are not looking at it in a way that is conductive to the patients. Taking a minimum amount of medication should always be the goal of the patient, and psychiatrists owe it to the patient to help them understand what the hell they are putting in their bodies. (Which won't happen in the 15~ minutes you typically see a psychiatrist.) Helplessness is breed in the system, too. For some patients they finally become their own advocate, but for the majority it never happens.

I'm not saying medication is bad (I take medication), but the whole system is so messed up that I understand why would opt to get out of it and I'm glad you're finally feeling like yourself again.

Yeah Trippin good job, you're still doing it!

Hi Josephsbaby - welcome - I don't know off hand about the bp quiz scores.. sorry. Maybe if you go to the main bp forum section, it's below this one, and make a new thread there you'll get replies.
