I was nauseous all the time on the drug. I liked the affect so I stayed on it anyway. Dizziness scares me. So I wouldn't stay on it if I had that side effect.

When I had a drug causing dizziness and vertigo- had to crawl!- my pdoc said to take that med right before I hopped into bed. This was with Seroquel I believe not Viibryd.

Have you tried calling the pharmacy? By law, pharmacists need to know side effects of the medications they fill. They will advise you on how long side effects may last for, and if you ask, they can give you some remedy recommendations and make sure those recommendations don't interact with other meds your current regimen. All you need to do is explain the situation about not being able to reach a doctor and they will be glad to help. (And yes, I've done this before.)

I do have some ideas for nausea.
(Sip the liquids, don't gulp them down.) Ginger ale, ginger tea (hot or iced), peppermint tea, Soda water...plain or orange essence, 7Up, Soda crackers, crushed ice, suck on ginger candy, and (best of all) take a 1/2 pill of non-drowsy Dramamine. The non-drowsy Dram. is a miracle.

I have never, never had any of the 30+ pdos I've seen suggest Dramamine or Bonine for nausea/dizziness. Never. Such a simple, effective solution. Being a mom, I figured it out on my own. I frequently wonder which world pdocs live in?
