I went in and got another prescription for lamictal welbutrin and ativan. I told him I was having trouble sleeping and he told me to take benedryl. So I'm trying it tonight and we will see. I'm feeling ok today was going off a ltl at work and everyone was like I want to be what you are on. I apolgized to everyone in advance for if I was being weird. They laughed at me. Anyway. I'm not as down. But I'm still tired. Gonna try this benedryl thing and I go back to pdoc in a month. Tdoc next week. Will see what happens I guess. I did find out our cleaning lady and I go to the same doctor for the same thing so I have someone to run stuff by. It was crazy at work to day they all told me they wanted what I had. Lol. I was kinda way out of it. Lol.
Thanks for this!

Benadryl every night? That stuff wears off. Ativan/lorazepam is supposed to help you get to sleep also. I've taken it off and on but am currently on temazepam for sleep. Benadryl just works a little bit for me, but not great. It started out working good, but you build up a tolerance to it if you take it every night. I know the feeling about being out of it and other people think we're having a party. Sure it's fun, but lack of sleep for weeks on end isn't fun after a while...your body is exhausted but your mind is buzzing like a neon sign.

I tried Trazodone (temazepam) and it did nothing for me, Ativan stopped working after a few weeks, Klonopin sedated the life out of me, and now I am using Seroquel to sleep. Before I got in to see my p-doc for the first time, I was using Advil PM which is basically Benedryl. It helped me get to sleep but I never stayed asleep.

So far Seroquel is working beautifully except for the morning tiredness and inability to comprehend anything before 9 a.m.

I hope the benedryl works for you. Everyone is different and meds work differently for everyone.

I wish you good sleep.
Thanks for this!

Trazodone is not temazepam. Traz is in a different class. Temaz is a benzo. Traz made me feint and comes in these thick pink tabs. Temaz comes in oblong cylinder gel caps of various colors depending on the strength. Sounds like Temaz is the one you took if you were switched to Ativan or Klonopin, both benzos.

FYI, no hard feelings I hope. Seroquel works wonderfully for sleep. I just was groggy all day everyday and sleeping 10 or more hours sometimes 13!

Thank you! I thought it was the same thing. I had a crummy meds person last winter who told me it was the same. She also didn't explain anything and would only tell me that she thought I needed to take meds but didn't tell me what they were for. Anyway, I don't see her anymore. I see someone now who seems to know what he is talking about, but I am still not sure if he is right for me.

But I digress...Thank you for the correction.

Glad I didn't hurt your feelings. I always worry about that. I'm not a know-it-all or anything. Happy if it was helpful at all.
