(((((((((((((((((((kj)))))))))))))))))))))))))) It's ok. There will be another opportunity to try again. Sometimes it really is just too much. And other times we can manage it. There will be other times Can you talk to your individual therapist about how difficult this is for you?

Hey kj44! Just responded in your other thread... but now that the question has been answered...

It's ok! Sometimes it just takes some time to gear ourselves up for a new thing. (and as an addendum to the personal story on the other thread... there was some time between wanting to go and actually getting myself to do it, oh yes.... )

Also... here is an idea. Is there anyone who could go with you? Whether to just be moral (or transportation!) support in getting there or even going in with you as a support person? From my experience anyway, this is not uncommon. (and again, with this particular group...) support people are not there to speak, but simply there to be a familiar person as, well, support of something/someone familiar!

Hey kj,
You hit the nail on the head by planning to get your son to take you. I was in the habit of NEVER mentioning my appts to anyone so that I wouldn't feel pressured/guilty if I flaked out....Now I write appts on the fridge calendar and mention them to my husband. He's not an *** about it, but I feel more compelled to keep my appts b/c I don't want to let him down.
So GREAT PLAN~
Keep us posted!
