Today I woke up and I feel so low today. It's been cloudy all day long and now it's getting darker earlier than usual. I hate cloudy days... they make me feel so sad and depressed. I love the sun and being at the beach. Anytime it's cloudy outside I feel so sleepy and seem to want to curl in bed and sleep most of the day.
On these days, I particularly don't like to talk to people all that much and kinda wanna be alone. I've taken my medication today which has helped but I hope the sun comes out tomorrow. Yesterday was such a great day for me and I was feeling so happy. Today I feel blah... ![]() So Winter is the not the best time of year for me at all. It's getting closer to the holidays and that's not helping either. So I'm thinking of doing something to keep me busy during these months. The one thing that always seems to lift me up is music. I'm so glad I have music. |

I hear you. I’m sorry you are having a tough time. I get SAD each year starting in late November. Do you have a light box? This has been tremendously helpful to me. I hope you start feeling better.

Hello there....I also have SAD so I have to be careful this time of the year. I’ve been doing a lot of coping skills and self-care. You just have to find the right ones that help you. For me I turn on my wax burner (aromatherapy). I soak in a hot bath while listening to mellow music or mental health seminars on YouTube. I have a coloring app on my phone. I also have Words with Friends. For me it’s a matter of keeping myself occupied...you can Google a suggested list of coping skills and self-care. Things fall into place when you find what works for you. Best wishes
