I'm just posting some good news ... my doctor today told me I'm fit to start running again. Since I've been on the quetiapine, my blood pressure has gone back to normal, and my heart rate is healthy, so I can slowly build up from scratch. Well, I've done it before and managed a half marathon, so I can't see why I shouldn't try again. Not sure I'll want to run that long... but at least I can run two or three miles a few times a week...

Probably take me eight to ten weeks to be running easily again, but at least now I know it's dooable.

I'm going for full blood work up next week, feeling quite positive.
Thanks for this!

Hahaha! Yes, I actually got some excercise done today... did a kick boxing workout on dvd that I used to enjoy. Okay, I didn't exactly kick as high as I used to, but I kept going throughout, got myself sweating and breathless, and actually feel like I've achieved something. I think I'll stick to this for a week or so till I'm less nervous about exercising in the open... but it's certainly helped my mood.

Thanks guys for the encouragement.

Was out walking for over three hours today, with two exuberant teenagers... didn't do any "official" excercise, saving that for tomorrow am.

You encourage me to exercise more myself. I used to run, workout and play a lot of sports but somehow year by year less and less. I miss it actually.

I hope you have a great time tomorrow am.
