I'm actually enjoying my life and having fun. I need less sleep and no need for naps. Staying up later than usual, wanting to do more, and actually able to concentrate to read ect. I love this. I haven't felt this way in a very long time. I have been out of the hospital for almost 3 months. Last year I was in the hospital every month so this bit of manic is a relief and a godsend. Hopefully it last awhile or at least be on a even keel. I really want to start driving, volunteering, and move out of my parents house. I'm almost 32yrs old. I would also like to get a part-time job later on so I can support myself.

Are you taking your medication?
It can really make a difference by giving you the stability that will greatly improve your quality of life. The reality of it is that mania doesn't last forever and if you let it progress long enough it can become as dangerous as depression. Even if you choose not to go the medication route, therapy can really help keep a check on yourself and give you the tools to better prepare you for the emotional rollercoaster ride.

When you have a disease like bipolar, which is chronic in nature, YOU have to be your own advocate. Please take care of yourself and keep us updated on how you're doing. ;')

I take all my Meds at the right times and I usually never miss a dose. I do see a therapist, my psychiatrist is my therapist who I see 3x a week. Right now I am in Florida till March 30. When I am away I have phone sessions with my psychiatrist and that helps a lot. For the past 2 nights I haven't been sleeping well at all. I hope my mania isn't getting worse. Hope everyone is doing well.
