I HATE FEELING THIS WAY!!! I want to not feel this way. I want to not be bipolar. I want to not have to take meds. I want to not have to battle these monsters! I want to be somewhat normal. I know normal is subjective but I want to not have to go therapy, I want to not have to call my T everyday. I want to not have to say when they ask if there is anything medically wrong with you say yes I have asthma, PCOS and bipolar. I hate having to say those words. I hate life right now. I hate everything.

What strategies do you use when you start feeling this way? I have to focus on my loved ones and stay busy with other things to keep my mind off how I feel about myself and my condition. I know it can seem overwhelming, but having lived with this, we are strong and resilient. I like to think that I am, in a way, stronger and more resilient, even, than most people without BP, because they haven't lived with the fight. You can cope with feelings like this, too. Give yourself credit, you are strong deep down, just right now you need to rejuvenate. You'll get through.

Be gentle with yourself...perhaps do something you love? When I'm really down, sometimes I just sleep. That seems to restore my body and brain a bit. *HUGS* ![]()

Well I have been doing a lot of sleeping. I slept about 12 hours last night and plan on taking a nap after lunch. Thanks for your words of encouragement. That means a lot to me. When I get home tonight I need to go through my clothes and decide what I'm going to take to the clothing exchange my weight loss surgery support group is having. So I'm trying to keep busy and still ended up calling the crisis line last night. All they said was if you are suicidal go to the ER. I told her nope not gonna happen because all they do is pat you on the head say things will be better and send you home. A waste of time in my book. I drank some hot chocolate and laid down and fell asleep. I think I might try that again tonight if I'm not drowzy.

I'm sorry for your struggle with bipolar. I hope you'll be feeling better soon. Have you let your p-doc know so he can make an adjustment in your meds to help you. I think the whole key to minimizing its effect on your life is to have the right balance of medicine. I dealt with this when our adopted daughter was still with us. EJ.....I have dropped out of school for the semester due to some health problems. I've been really dizzy and sometimes its not safe for me to drive so I dropped out but will go back in the fall. I saw my pdoc on Thursday and she upped my Cymbalta to 40mg and ordered an EEG. She wants to see if the fainting and dizzy spells could be brain related. I am to have that on the 23rd @ 10:15. My mom is going to take me as she has Spring Break that week. I just want all of this to stop. I want to not have to deal with any of this anymore. I hate being bipolar.

If your not ready to go on meds, don't go on them. I am 23 years old and i'm starting to feel better but I was feeling just like you not long ago. I was mad,scared and out of control. Do know that no one should have to suffer and fight fight fight to feel better. If you want to chat, feel free to IM me. My name is Lia.

Jannie sorry things are so rough and you're feeling so bad. Keep doing things that help you feel better. Be kind to yourself. Safe, gentle hugs.
