No problem, Doublemonkey,

I wonder, though, how does your spouse feel about the highs and lows over the long term? Is she really content; I hope so, because that makes so much difference for both of you. That's not a low shot; that's a genuine concern all of us have probably had to go through at one time or another with this illness.

Someone once told me that it's the little things that are part of rational observation.
You can be as rational as anyone I've spoken to on this forum when you want to be.
I almost wonder at times if you're playing a game, perhaps?

Take care of yourself, Doublemonkey.

The point is to watch your language. You said that chocolate is LOADED with caffeine. This is UNTRUE. You said that chocolate is POISON. This is UNTRUE.

It is best to avoid counterfactual statements altogether. If you want to talk about some food sensitivities in guys who use metaphors, talk about "food sensitivities" (a nebulous subject that is not loaded) and not "poison" (a clear-cut, loaded word). Likewise, do not attribute loads of caffeine to a product that contains only very modest amounts.

Oh,ho,ho, Hamster. Who was it who called me giving a "regurgitation" of
something? My language is appropriate for the people for whom I'm writing. You have read enough of my threads to know what I mean when I say that something is seriously harmful (or poison). If that's what you mean, okay.

But watch your language, as well; and I am capable of defense of my expressions.

It appears that you choose to use a word in a sense that is different from its dictionary definition. There is nothing I can say in that regard.

Genetic I am flattered you think I have a partner.....a girlfriend a woman yep.

I let that dream go a few years ago....when it was clear to me I had exhausted all my intimacy credits with utter madness over the years.

I just thrashed myself every which way there is very little of me left to offer someone.

I do have some valuable info though and it's entirely unsuperficial...

Well, there is more than one definition for a word, Hampster, as you know. At least one has called my writing resembling a "textbook". To use only one meaning for a word, especially the dictionary meaning, would make one's effort resemble a textbook, I think.

I think you are a strong defender of your view, just as others of us are of
our own.

Why not check out more than one site on the uses of caffeine and sugar before you launch an opinion? There are various views on all subjects. And the internet is not the most reliable of sources for information these days.

We all try to avoid the "black-or-white" thnking. Many internet sites that I've seen lately will have differing views on things. I don't regard any of them as necessarily accurate, and I think maybe you may not, too, if we really knew all about the subjects there is to know. I use experience as a guide foremost and confirm it with what I believe to be reliable information and what works for me, knowing full well that I have said time and again "what works for one won't work for another".

To put it in the same vein as your thought, "what works for you might not work for another" is a meaningful comment when you post about caffeine use and chocolate or sugar.

HB, genetic is a bit 'forceful' with her choice of words, I think its probably a mixture between feeling strongly and trying to make a point. Genetic, I guess HB doesn't appreciate your choice of words as it sounds broad/general, yet presented as fact. Now...

Ladies, can we please get back to the topic at hand? James is clearly at a theme park riding the MonkeyFalls, and it seems like a hellava trip!

James, dahling, please stay on the ride, it WILL stop eventually, I don't want you swinging on the monkeybars, stay safe or I will have to fly over there with my Mary Poppins umbrella and give you an African Rhino tranq instead of spoons full of suga! Mwah, stay put, and stay safe my friend, I'm right here.

...maybe you are right genetic and you make me smile at the possibility...

but I know ...(and not just saying this)

I cannot compete with people who have knowledge....you know like 'facts'

...that only brings out the idiot freelancing freewheelin' James

I cannot compete with details and facts....

just feelings and temperaments

thats my skill and bein' a bit silly yep

saved my butt many times being able to pull a joke....

but it's a shame a bit I miss the details.....

I understand, Trippin, but must keep the clarity of what we write!

Take care, Trippin.

this might be ironic for sure and defy all thats ludicrous within and without me gen....

rational is so speculative random and subjective ....especially here in the forum...the world where the potentially and likely irrational meet to test out irrationalities with what I consider to be 'respectful' terms....rather than 'rational' ones....

James....

it's a beautiful mysterious world gen you have invited me into now....

the rational it's superb amazing the infinity of it all

Yep, "It's a Big, Wide, Wonderful World We Live In" and I'm not hypomanic. (That's the name of a song,by the way). You'll find, though, Doublemonkey, that the rational view doesn't allow probably for the fun of the "feeling temperament", though that has a very special place in the hearts of us all, probably. (One psychiatrist said to me once, "you let your feelings get in the way of your thoughts". Make sense?)

I found the secret is to let the emotions out gently rather than to hold them in and explode. (And I've done that before, too, just recently with a jack@#! of an attorney.)

I understand, in part, what you're trying to convey. Getting it all out helps to keep the goodness inside, maybe. Just try to keep it safe, as Trippin' says.

genetic, this is the bipolar forum, it is not the 'allergy' forum. Why have you hijacked this thread?
