I know this maybe the wrong forum to post this but i feel that this is right one. I haven't been diagnosed with anything. But i guess I will go on with the point.

Okay well my mood swings are out of wack, one minute I cam be happy then one little thing will set it off and I'll be angry, or sad. Something as small as my daughter asking me for a drink will make me angry. When I get mad I hit things, throw things, slam doors. But lately its got worse. When I'm not all i.want to do is hurt someone so bad. For example someone pulled out in front of me and stopped in the middle of the road, I had to swerve not to hit them. It took all i had to get out of my car and start yelling and hitting the other driver. Or I was so aggravated about having to clean my house I waa ready to burn it down. I yell a lot, I have been told I pick fight a lot with people. Mainly my loved ones. When I talk I don't think before I speak. My words don't make sense half of the.time.

I get depressed a lot. It's not to the point where I stay in bed. I do have kids to take care of. I just get really down, and feel worthless, like I'm nothing. I feel life is pointless, I have turned to cutting when I get depressed or angry. I just don't have the same Intrest for anything I did years ago. By the way this has been going on for almost six years. It was small at first now its worse.

Umm let's see, I get in these happy moods where I'm restless, and just want to talk, I can't sit still and have to move around but i get bored easily. I am a totally diffrent person when I'm in this odd happy mood. I have great confidence when I'm in this mood. But the mood never last long.

There's a lot more to this I will tell you if you want. But i want to do OS this possible bipolar or not? Has any of you guys felt this way?

I couldn't really say what your symptoms indicate, but I am sorry you are feeling this way. You seem to be experiencing a wide range of difficult symptoms. These are issues that would definitely warrant talking to a doctor about; there are things that can be done to help. ++

Welcome to PsychCentral, confusednangry. I'm glad you found us here. Sure, what you're describing could be bipolar or a bunch of other things ...

Sorry, confusednangry--nothing you say is definitive, none of us are diagnosticians, and diagnosis isn't what we do here anyway. I'm pretty sure anyone who reads your post will suggest you see a doctor quickly, because you need help with some serious stuff that's going on.

I'm a bipolar alcoholic, so I've had lots of mood swings, been very angry & out of control. Have you been connected with anyone before? A therapist, psychiatrist, or medical doctor? If so, I would reestablish this connection and go from there.

in a mixed state BUT the mood never last long Sticks out to me. What does long to you mean? There are other things that look and act like bipolar so please get an indept physical to rule out thyroid disorders, nutritional in balances and then get a referral to a pdoc. If you are feeling like this now I urge you to make an urgent appointment just like you would if your kids had strep.

Hi and welcome,
I think I've felt and acted most of the ways you listed. Definately get a doctor's advice, therapy and meds have helped me. I don't really flip out (yelling, slamming things) on my kids anymore, but those other drivers... holy cow!! They can make me mad!!
Yes, I relate. There is help out there for you, good luck! And this is a good place for support.
Thanks for this!

You could be experiencing any number of things, but since we don't know you outside of the descriptions of your behaviour, we can't properly determine what it is you have. Perhaps you have intermittent explosive disorder with regular depression & you're just normally a happy go lucky, talkative person? It's very difficult to determine without a professional to ask you about your history, about yourself, & about the troubling behaviour in order to see them all side-by-side.

Thanks guys I wasn't really expecting a diagnosis from anyone seeing as I know your not doctors I was just wondering if anybody felt this way. Oh and by short I mean my.moods shift authentic hours of each other a day, if not longer. But I'm currently awaiting insurance, then I'm going to see a psyciatrist (can't spell it ) about it, rather he safe then sorry right. So thank you to everyone!!

Yes my moods can shift quickly, even hourly--sometimes it's situational, something happens that shifts the world for me. If I wait, often things rebalance themselves.

Other times it's as simple as having too much caffeine. My bipolar moods, I've found, don't change that quickly.

Oh, I've definitely had periods like that where I'm euphoric then angry then depressed and both! It's confusing!

When you see your doctor, you'll be discussing the impact these have on your life and will probably be asked a bunch of questions to rule out or in, borderline personality. Well maybe, I'm just saying because that's what every psych who has evaluated me has done!
